Unfortunately you have to have an itunes account   

well my friend's iphone has a whole lotta junk on it that requires itunes service....sum custom firmware ting him hav running...even software that changes the number that U Dial with (get me in nuff trouble!!  )

anyways it runs with the 2.0 software....

so those with the custom firmware can get it for free...in ne case its only $13usd.....

i'll ask him to get it and do a review maself....

good luck trying 2 get one bredda, i'm in Ny and u shud see the lines here to get it @ the AT&T stores in manahttan...ITS RIDICULOUS!!!!

and if u are lucky enuff 2 get one, u will not pay the 300 advertised...more like 600+.....and unless u planning on using 3G u can stick 2 the old one as thats the only diff...and its a wee bit skinner...

Considering the price of the old one I might just buy one for that reason but any one know how much for itunes or a work around. I could make a little money off it and lot of fun and help to tune a lot of friends cars only thing missing is a graph.

This is true  However I bought my iphone used with some custom apps already on it and they were still on it when I unlocked it. Im thinking you could possibly add dyno app 1st then unlock it after .  I used ziphone to unlock my iphone btw just dont sync it with itunes after because apple reloads the software.

If you have an unlocked iPhone you have absolutely nothing to worry about iTunes, just keep away from the update and restore buttons if you dont know what you are doing, you can install applications on the unlocked and jailbroken iPhone, a couple questions what firmware are you using? and is your phone jailbroken?

Amazingly apple has certainly tricked the public with there $199 gimmick for the 3g phones, only to realize that's it's for only those on contract or starting a contract, off contract prices is what is holding up the price of the 2g phones now, a good price for them is between 280 and 320, if you haven't ordered your 3g and need a 2g phone gimme a pm, and you will also have the latest FW 2.1

Ok its 1.1.4 i think its jailbroken i have installer and alot of stuff on it, but no songs, are you saying i can set it up to put songs on it without worrying about it getting bricked? All the stuff that show u how to add apps u didnt pay for still says u need 1 free app or summin from the apple store.

there are also other app that does dyno and tuning for the car, that is dashcommand; its for about 50 u.s. dollar, log work, pocket dyno, etc.... there quiet a few app that can be use as a scan tool...
 down fall though is they only support 96 up vehicle obd2 ..
however i check review for the dashcommand on the net and found that it is highly recommend haven't downloaded it yet to say for myself
