What could possible happen is the people promoting radio control events could start a competition where people would compete at different levels to be parish champions after they will move on to being country champion whether it be on road or off road beginner intermediate or pro level and instead of having trophy alone we could have prizes of either a nitro or electric car, fuel, radio gear something to entice the winner of the competition. This is just food for thought

Wasn't that exactly what RedBull did year before last when they held the exact event that you are describing at UTech's basketball court?
I can clearly remember Marc March entering that year and collecting a prize as well.

Well I didn't know but if that is the case then it should be something that should be followed up on.

Went & looked in on some guys just running the cars. Seems really cool. Can u believe these little things have actual transmissions in them, that change gears & stuff. & engines that smoke from the mufflers when u burn out. & Yes, they get hot too like a real car  Crazy Crazy
VERRRRYYY COOOOL  2 ThumbsUp  The dudes who were running the cars (not racing) guess it was test & tune day  ROFL seemed like cool dudes too.

the RC models are very addictive so I dont think it should take much to attract more people to the sport, just have some official shows to show them off and in no time everyone would want to get involved, I love all of them the choppers, planes, boats not to mention the cars. MAN! I wish I had the cash to get a Subaru WRX, do you know they go up to 100 kph

Don't think about what can my car do for me, but what can I do for my car. I seriously think if you take good care of your car, your car will take even better care of you...

well not everyone is attracted to the same sport, most people who come to the track meets are persons who are nearby and have no where else to go but home and persons who participate, it's difficult to attract the younger breed to the sport because it's very expensive and a nuh everybody can afford it so thats the problem
