 [help]my car and documents have been seized by the po po since saturday,the chassis # on the car is different from whats on the documents,could that be a error on the part of the people at the tax office and depot?FRUSTRATED TO HELL

^^ Yes, it could be an error on their part. My father's Ford Ranger has had a similar problem.

He imported the vehicle, had the US title, entry papers, and actual chassis number matching each other. But when he got it licensed, they got the chassis number wrong at the tax office, creating problems at the examiner.

Are the police saying that the vehicle might have been stolen? That is another matter altogether.

actually, it's an error on your part, always check the numbers b4 leaving the depot or YOU not the tax office or depot will get into trouble

Real thing that,we as motorist have to double check papers as not only the tax office alone makes those mistake,down to the insurance company does it too,so PRACTICE to check your documents evrey where you go to tranact business.................................... Celebrate Applause
