A guy I know recently acquired a 1992 Mazda 323 and wants a decent MAZDA motor for it. He wants to keep it Mazda. No mongrel.

He is also looking a NA motor that will give him a lil more than stock motor.

Where can he get this motor?

Purpose: Taxi but want it to run well. Slightly modded, fastish car, if you know what I mean.  Grin.

Peace

Cool.

Do you know where he can acquire the motor?

2.5' or 2.25" piping?

BTW, not sure how he is gonna make power and be economical.

Modded = use more fuel

Taxi = economical on fuel

The two of those dont match but let's see cause there are modded SR20 and 4A motors running taxi, robot too. Even 3sgte!

Peace

He could also drop in the KLZE 2.5 liter v6 from the MX6, 626 or ford probe. The Japan-only KL-ZE produce 199 hp (149 kW) and 165 ft·lbf (224 Nm) natural form. This motor is capable of roaring effortlessly into the 7000+ RPM range.This motor with a good driver should break into the high 14sec 1/4 mile times, and possibly when properly tuned w/all bolt-ons, proper ECU, good clutch and good driver may net 13sec times. You would have fun beating up the VR6 Golf & Jettas. Here are some vidz to a 323 with the KLZE making 208 whp natural
