Duct Tape, you're a true sportsman.  Let's do a Pinks style contest, using a track of your choice.  With your confidence in the lawnmower camp it should be a walk in the park for you.  Let's make it happen.  I'm sure we can find a way to make it mutually beneficial. (I'll even allow to drive your car at the next two events) Grin

I'm happy someone else noted it.  I was wondering.  Still awaiting a reply.  I'm sure Duct Tape wouldn't mind using a diamond star to store old parts or to raise chickens in.  It should be that easy... Wacko

No...DT, not like that.  Are you agreeing that this is for the car titles?  Do you want to run it over 3 events or only the Ironshore one.  I"m sure you can get television coverage, sponsors interested in something like this.  I might even be able to purchase another car from the profits when you drive away my diamond star.  Evil

Dion, since you seem to be in a giving mood, I have a question, but am not sure what the best wording is.  Tell me which wording you like best:

I'd love the opportunity to drive your car at the Sprint, would that be possible?
How about lending an old friend your car for the sprint, and you can drive it too?
May I be so bold as to request a sharing of you lovely vehicle at the sprint?
Would it be any at all possible to have a go at helping the Tri-Star Domination out at the Sprint, using your car?
If I were to donate, let's say tyres, could I also have a drive of the car for the day?
Beg you a borrows, nuh?

No, none of those sound good to me.  Let me think...

Still thinking.......

I think I got it..........

Remember when I helped you out at St. George's at the last minute, how about returning the favour?

That's it, by gollie I got it!  He must say yes now!  He must! Can't wait for the response...

Apart from the fact that I really wouldn't want to see you lower your "standards" to drive a "lowly diamond star", you must know by now who my car is shared with.

As for St. Georges I was an invited guest who took the opportunity to extend an invitation to you also, so that the young uns would be treated to a fine display of driving.  You delivered and the young uns and I were impressed. (I hope the owner of the subbie has saved enough to buy back some tires by now  Shut Up I think he needed four).  Whistling  The person who owes you on that one isn't me.

But I see you have some cars renting.  Come on, it's been a while since you've graced the track except for exhibitions.  I am sure that a lot of us would welcome the opportunity to be "Teached".  After all, we can all fight for the place after 1st or the one b4 3rd. Grin Grin Grin

Since I am not Mr. Nice Guy Evil and diplomatic is not in my vocabulary on a Monday(R), I will translate what you really meant to say:

The Pug is pretty much sold, if the peoples bank signs the deal, so that is out of the question.

Well, I am feeling like my english language lessons were all in vein, for no matter how I ask the question, you don't understand -BEG ME A BEG DRIVE!

Anyway, fun and joke aside, I'll enjoy commentating your runs (yes, I have official duties on the day), and the battle between you and Dean!

Cry Cry Cry Well note the time folks.  We had been plagued with a problem with the car leaning out at 4,000rpm no matter what we did.  Despite the best efforts of the Autosource crew & Blaine, Chungy, Gauntlett and others we just have not been able to figure out why.  Ever since the engine swap we have encountered these issues.  Unfortunately  Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry I think it will take the car revving over 4 grand to even send notice of a threat to the Honda camp.

I had swallowed my pride and called Duct Tape earlier when the writing was on the wall to beg him a drive, but I got no answer.  Well that means no points for me this outing.  I wish you all a good day of racing.

Ice...make sure you enter this one.  Remember my boast  Boxing Boxing statement of fact.

For those of you who think that preparation started late you're wrong.  We started working on the car as soon as it returned from Dover.  I really think that this is a very simple problem as it only started with the engine swap. If only we could find it.

Anyhow next time... Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

Rest of the competition was ok.

storm changed course,,, all we had was overcast skys,,,,dean decided to do some mowing but was distracted by all the pretty girls that showed up,,,teach decided to give classes in flirting cause his wife wasnt around....ice was out testing and tunenin ,,well mostly tuning, and testing chassis structures and stuff,,to the point he got confused, and did not know his 2lap runs different from his 3 lap runs....jodan did some good driving and should have easily secured ja2 and second in 2wd...there was also a kerb jumping contest between browns town and kgn  sal did well to represent the east but, i think the vw from brownstown won that...jr barnes won ja8 ,guy fraiser won jc doug did fastest time of the day after lots of little problems, like dislodgeing a drive shaft,,an axle ,and a control arm,,and some curb work..the challenger crew were, also out ,with richie chan testin the durability of the parts he has on the corolla, and ivan keepnig drifting classes....whitty wanted a peice of that action but was denighed by equipment failure

Guy Fraser won JC2.
Doug did not start his 1st run, spun out on his 2nd and faltered on his last run (low on fuel) and was given a chance to set a non scoring time, on which he posted the fastest time of the day with a spin, a curb hit, a dislodged driveshaft and lower control arm.
Those two Team Mobay Racing Evos are maaaddd quick!!!

Team Mobay Racing also won JA3 and fastest 2 wheel drive overall, 2nd place overall and 2nd place championship run with the Kumho Tyres Honda Civic Type R, prepared by Horse P Racing and The Automotive Performance Centre Ltd.
Jordan Powell won JA2 and 3rd fastest in the championship run and 2nd fastest 2wd in the Lloyd's of Montego Bay/Addvantage Auto parts Toyota Corolla FX.

As it stands now for 2009, its mowers @ Sprint #1, Sprint #2, Easter Dover, May 25 Caribbean Invasion Dover and Sprint #3.
If there had been any tarmac rallies, it would have been mowers at those 2 as well.
If there is a 252hp mower, we will call it out when the 208whp one fails to put a beatdown on the 3 star. As it is now, the mower's honor is being well defended by one of the least powerful of them all.

Overall I had an ok day, my times were not what I wanted but for my first time on tarmac since 07 and first time back in the car since Rally Jamaica, it was good enough to clinch the class win and 3rd in championship run. What happened to the town people  No Clue, was really looking forward to seeing how these battles would have turned out. But now on to dirt and now the fun starts, just hope no more rally's are cancelled.

Have to give a big thank you to my sponsors LLOYDS of montego bay, Add-vantage auto, Performance Centre and Tropical Battery, thank you very much and I look forward to working together in the future  ThumbsUp
