Jamaica is in the lead. Not sure how much, but it was said by Mr. J last night.
The Maloney's have promised to make it back up for the Bajan's when we move to the next country on the list, but I have faith that our 4 drivers will deliver on the 2010 Championship, both for team and for individual bragging rights!

mark maloney's car is geared for the barbados track
With there level professionalism would you really think that they came with one set of ratios.
well the track in Barbados is short and it is very different from Dover..this track demands a short ratio gear box like the RX3 so Summer breeze will have to change that totally..

Here is how I see it DT, even if his car was faster, if you were trying to win, and looking for opportunities to do so, then it was racing. Even if you never stood a chance, I have seen forced errors before, and I do believe that the CRX and the purple/yellow Civic (sorry to refer to cars instead of drivers) would have taken 2nd place from you if they could.
Thats true Rupes...I was trying to pass Alan for the win for real, and I am pretty sure Chris wasn't bumping into my bumper just to test the crashworthiness of the Hondas. If he or Peter could have passed, they really would have, and I would have passed Alan if I could have as well. It was me trying my best, while Alan just kept things real.
Thanks for all the support and great comments guys it was a pleasure entertaining u. Yes DT was trying to pass got a few nugges from him but all in all we were really enjoying it and we are happy you all did too...

I use and test all the products I sell.
On the Honda Civic, I use 205/50-15 Kumho Ecsta KU-31 as my street tyre and also as my rain tyre.
For tarmac sprints and rallies (if there are any more) my choice is 205/50-15 Kumho Victoracer V700.
At Dover, I use the DOT rated Kumho V710 and the Victoracer V700 in 205/50-15 as well.
I also sell Goodyear tyres and use the 31x8-15 Goodyear racing slicks in the MP2 class at Dover, as well as the 205/50-15 Kumho V710.
On my Toyota Corolla streetcar I use Kumho Ecsta KU-31 in 205/45-16, and they are one of the best performance street tyres available on the market, and are value priced at $8,720.00 including tax and mounting.
Here is more information on my line of business:
Maxxis, Triangle, Goodride, Westlake, a few Dunlop, Sumitomo, Federal and Goodyear are all available here:
When you see this car anywhere doing a promotion,
ask about our products, which include automotive batteries from Tropical, Yokohama, Challenger and Entrac, rims (STW, Maxxim, Hijoin, Akuza, Panther/PCW, ICW, Autostyle, Konig, AZUL and Incubus.

To elaborate for the fans of the Iceman... the car was prepped by the very capable team and was fully ready to do battle ....reliability was never an issue. But as it goes some time, luck plays a part, and when a gremlin bites you, thats it. With our fuel strategy I made a call, and a fuel pump ran dry because of the cell design, leading to lean condition and overheating in the second race hurting the motor. We will be correcting this problem and return even stronger for August.

C'mon guys, Mark's car is geared fine for Dover. To the best of my knowledge, he was not running out of gear before the end of the front straight. It certainly sounded as if he was on the power in top gear right up to the point of braking for the corner. It is important to remember that his is not Mark's first trip to Dover, and if he had a gearing problem last year he would have sought to rectify it this year. He may have had other problems, but I doubt that gearing was one of them. Of course, I can be entirely wrong about this, but I am stating my perception.
He was slower around Dover this year as opposed to last year. I do not know the reason for it. 1:22.449 in '08 versus 1:23.365 in '09, almost a full second slower and the majority of his competition all improved their own times so the disparity was more obvious.
BIGJUICE, keep up the work, it will pay off in the end.

I was standing on the front straight for one race, and he seemed to be grabbing 6th gear literally half, mabye a second before he went on the brakes.
funny enough, I noticed that for almost everyone else too., except Bull.

YUP....I think he missed the gear settup on sunday for qualifying totally, monday for race was better but still lost between having good acceleration over hill and straight line speed (was lacking). As for lap times , think the car was still on the loose side , same as last year..... think they need to look at suspension geometry, specifically anti-roll setup as he seems to have bigest problem with getting back on the power comming off the corners, .... just my observation here

Maybe I missed it, but no one has commended the organizers on the parking and leaving the venue. I was parked on the infield and I exited through the side gate next to Mr. Chens property and I was on the main road within half hour
And yes, I stayed till after ALL the races were run. In fact I jumped in the car immediately after the last race and wasted a few minutes trying to decide which exit to take. Much improved guys

It is quite normal to overlook when things go right and quite easy to make a big stink when things go wrong. That being said though, when someone just does their job as is required, I don't necessarily think that an extra commendation is neccessary.

I disagree DT
You must always commend for a job done the right way, gives way to motivation. I know that a lot of work was put into improving the parking situation based on complaints made by us the customers. That shows a commitment to continually improve.

King David spearheaded the parking improvements for the meet. The extra parking was a vast improvement and in the spirit of the 20th anniversary celebrations, a little bit of old times was added to the mix with the reopening of the western parking lot beside the main house.
The parking attendants also seemed to have stepped their game up, creating a positive result altogether.

my 2 cents ...
Overall a very good meet ... with the competition in the IP27 thru 37 classes probably being the high points from a racing standpoint ... Allen Chen's midday drive to keep off the honda man dem was outstanding!!!
Caribbean Championship ... King David and the TA1 rule supreme ... and I personally can't understand all the chat 'bout if he was inna the AA Evo how him woulda beat the TA1 ... 'cause the straight line superiority of TA1 was plain as day ... TA1 is simply faster than the AA Evo ... and David still hasn't turned the boost up yet ... unnoo hear?!?
Big Big Respec' to the Maloneys ... what competitors ... who obviously have never heard of the words 'give up' ... the battle between the brothers after the AA Evo spun in the 2nd race was the highlight of the championship ... wish the RX3 could stay here forever ... simply awesome sound and sight ... and I luv their aggressive driving attitudes ...
Team MoBay ... ah suh racing guh ... feel absolutely no way ... Missa Hollyvood, et al ... wheel and come again ...
Glad for the Caymanian racers making the journey too ... I'm sure they have also concluded that Dover is the most challenging track in the region ... Guyanese lucky dem never come or dem woulda get a serious bus' assing ... and I would've particualry liked to have seen Veira get his tru comuppance inna Jamdown ... gully side crew was ready fe dat ...
Felt really good to witness Chris Campbell's 1st outright win ... yuh is a definite star ...
Organization continues to improve ... particularly regarding the parking and non-blockage of the access road ... don't know if it could've handled the bumper crowd that would've been there if the south coast weather hadn't been so bad in the morning ... but ... I tried to leave after the 2nd championship run ... and was on the main road within 3 minutes ... thank you all who contributed to that ...
Lime Cay 'mound' seemed fairly well conceived ... and a number of us would like to see that whole concept taken to its logical conclusion ... ie: the erection of executive type boxes by the JRDC which could be leased on an annual or more long term basis
...
Maybe i mis-read but mark c had said
once you pay you 500 u drink and eat all day
...now on reaching the event i heard over the PA from
duct tape i belive saying 500 and drink all day...now by the time i paid to go in i found out i had to buy food and drink as nothing in there was all inclusive except for you getting served by some ladies
.....but i just pretended that i lost 500 on the ground as opposed to being miserable....just needs to be a little more communication between the parties so people know what is really what
lucky you ,,you only lost 500 bucks to the crap they put up there.......i paid a grand for nothing,,,,,had to buy drinks, just like anywhere else on the ground,,just at a higher cost,,,and i couldnt see crap more than i could if i was on the outside of the stupid
lime
cay crap...still did not see half of what was goin on.....waste of time and money.....or should i say ,,,,,,hold down an tek ?

once you pay you 500 u drink and eat all day
...now on reaching the event i heard over the PA from
duct tape i belive saying 500 and drink all day...now by the time i paid to go in i found out i had to buy food and drink as nothing in there was all inclusive except for you getting served by some ladies
.....but i just pretended that i lost 500 on the ground as opposed to being miserable....just needs to be a little more communication between the parties so people know what is really what
lucky you ,,you only lost 500 bucks to the crap they put up there.......i paid a grand for nothing,,,,,had to buy drinks, just like anywhere else on the ground,,just at a higher cost,,,and i couldnt see crap more than i could if i was on the outside of the stupid
lime
cay crap...still did not see half of what was goin on.....waste of time and money.....or should i say ,,,,,,hold down an tek ?
I had the same experience but not as bad I asked the person at the gate and was told that I will have to buy drinks and food separate and that was not what i saw on WJ thread..so i was surprise as well so i took my vip arm band and stayed upstairs the blue booth and when i get hungry i go buy BK from the blue bus

If DVDs cost 5K, that wud be too expensive, and someone in the business would know that, Im not being unfair. If original dvd's reach a certain price, ill know its 2 expensive. DVDs for 600 dollars and/or lower is all pirated stuff and is that we using to judge prices of dvds now. And yea, remember the economic crisis a lick everyone, including those selling the dvds. Click on the following link and calculate the cost of the dvd and see for yourself.

was it guys car the balck and white one or it was garys...it was very fast but just didnt seem to be up to the challenge 2day
Guy's car is white with dark blue bonnet, Gary's own is yellow n blue. I think they in the Team MoBay thread with pics
i heard one was repainted and seen as how i saw the white one with blue bonnet then i can assume what i say 2day was gary's with the big slowboy racing sticker across the doors and car painted in white with some black here and there
I've gotten some inside info that states that the AA evo wasnt 100% on raceday, (and yes this is credible info). They had to borrow stock parts from some other racer and with that in mind, it was still able to do 1.19's around the track. Cant wait for next year to see what happens. Oh and yes, while i love the TA1, The AA evo is far superior, just look at the specs. but yea, we need to remember the human factor does makes a difference (i.e tuning, parts selection and driver). So duplicate Summerbell and put one in the TA1 and the other in the AA, the AA will win. Or duplicate Stuart and put one in the TA1 and the other in the AA, the AA still will win. no doubt.

I dont agree with u on this. The TA1 evo was way too fast for the AA evo on race day. It was obvious even when they were place beside each other in the second race. That being said if Stuart was driving TA1 he would win the races. For him to do a 1:19 lap chasing David is enough evidence for me that he would win if he was driving TA1. In other words the yute can drive!

Stuart can drive, no doubt about that, although that stunt him pull on Doug never show his driving class still. But generally, yea, him can drive. Still don't agree with the car issues... as i stated earlier.. the AA was racing on race day with stock parts from another racer. It would have been a much closer race and possibly different outcome if that AA evo was 100%. And all i'm stating is that is the AA wasn't 100% and was still running 1.19s...what happen when its 100%.

Most racers will tell you that having a day where everything is 100% is a very rare one and usually ends with you winning..I would have loved to see a closer race but david was never even close to anything resembling pressure...the closest race for the day that i wish i could have watched was doug vs the AA but sadly doug had several problems

But that will never happen...........you may have good enough. I am sure there were things on the TA1 last meet that could have been better.
